Hi! My name is Adriana Dykstra, I’m a third-year Psychology student at the University of the Fraser Valley, driven to improve the lives of others. Though my main focus is psychology, I enjoy sociology, linguistics, and women’s studies courses. after completing my Bachelor of Arts degree, I plan to continue my studies to get a master’s in speech-language pathology. I enjoy reading, long-distance running, attending music festivals, and making jewelry in my free time. Currently, I work in housekeeping and laundry at Menno Place, a senior care facility.

My passion lies in creating a space for self-improvement and taking the time to listen to others. This is a benefit at my job, as taking the time for a conversation with a resident, and remembering details about them, can make their day, as well as make mine better.
